Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that navigating clinical services and NDIS support can be complex. Here you'll find clear answers to common questions about our Occupational Therapy services, assessment processes, and how we support your journey toward independence.
General Questions
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps people of all ages participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations). At OccuVita, we focus on helping adults regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Who can access OccuVita services?
We primarily serve adults living with disabilities, including those with NDIS plans (self-managed or plan-managed), as well as private clients and individuals transitioning from hospital to home environments.
Do I need a referral to see an OT?
While professional referrals are welcome from GPs or Support Coordinators, we also accept self-referrals. You can start the process by clicking the 'Make a Referral' button anywhere on our site.
Where do therapy sessions take place?
We are a mobile service, providing therapy in your own home, workplace, or local community setting throughout Greater Melbourne and Victoria. This ensures the strategies we develop are practical for your real-world environment.
